The Best Way to solve Greasy Hair and Get Volume: Using Batiste New Cherry Scented Dry Shampoo

So anyone who reads our blog knows my love of dry shampoo.  I like to be clean but I like to be quick too.  So sometimes a quick bath in the morning, instead of a shower involving washing and drying my hair, is my much timelier option.  Fortunately, with this dry shampoo you don't have to sacrifice style for the convenience of non-washed hair.  I LOVE this new cherry scent Batiste Dry Shampoo.  I have blogged about my more expensive choice before but for $7.99 this option is fabulous.  I will definitely be saving my pocketbook to buy this cheaper alternative.  The smell is great and Batiste has a lot of new scents to choose from now.  I cannot go on about the many uses of dry shampoo.  For updos I use dry shampoo to give me texture that helps hair to stay in place.  Any hairstyle that involves a lot of volume will benefit from using dry shampoo at the roots first!  One of the best things about this particular dry shampoo that I haven't noticed with others is that it even makes my hair feel clean.  My sister, who is pictured below, called me later to go on about the same fact.  It is very cool feeling when you spray it on which helps with that clean feeling.  Then, it gives so much lift off the root that you feel like you just stepped out of the shower and had your hair blown out, only the way that a big round brush could make it feel.  My sister said she is definitely going to go out and buy some.  She said that she had tried others that made her scalp itch and that this one made her head feel so clean.  I must say that I have to agree with her on all points!  (My sister may want to kill me after telling everyone that this is her "greasy" head LOL, I did call her and tell her not to wash her hair, in her defense.)  So you can buy this online at Ulta or Amazon or in most grocery stores like Kroger & Ingles.

Hands Down The Best Anti Aging Skin Care: Onsen Secret From Japan

I love to talk about great products, because as you know we all waste a lot of money on products that just don't get the job done.  I was contacted by Onsen to choose 4 products to try, and if I liked them, blog about them.  I haven't just liked them I LOVE them!!!  The best overall word I can use to describe what they do is "refresh" my look.  They just give your skin a fresher more youthful look.  I am only 32, but sometimes people guess that I am older (yuck) so I am a little self conscious about my skin.  Sometimes genetics don't exactly afford you the luxury of having that youthful glow with your skin texture.  I feel like these products have helped give me that more youthful appearance.  The only problem with these products is that they will eventually run out, and they are priced higher than most skin care products.  A good way to weigh the advantages is to ask yourself how much you are going to spend trying different products that don't work.  Another advantage is that you do get a lot of product in each container.  Most eye creams come in those little bitty pots and don't last very long.  I would say that this will probably last me about a year.  Maybe not the moisturizer but eye cream, serum, and mask should.  You will find my description of how each product works in the picture below.  Onsen is also offering a 20% discount by using the promotional code "beauty 20".  All in all hands down this is the line I choose as my anti wrinkle cream and to fix the fine lines that I already have!!!!
My review for the Anti Aging skin care by Onsen Secret: The best anti aging skin care

best anti aging cream for fine lines and wrinkles. see me without makeup
Under normal circumstance I would absolutely never put up a picture of myself without makeup.  This is right after I used the the Instant Line Lifter:  Wrinkle Plumping Cream Mask.  I have a really uneven skin tone but the mask seemed to even my tone out and give me a really fresh look.  This is a picture of the time I was telling you that my husband agreed that he saw a difference also.  I hope this post is helpful to others who are looking for great anti aging creams.  If you have any questions about these products please feel free to leave them in the comment section below.  I would be glad to help!

Glamorous Halloween Ideas: How to Search Your Closet and Come Out With a Fabulous Halloween Costume

Here is the Glamorous idea:  have a Halloween party inviting all of your girlfriends to arrive looking "Boo-tiful" in their favorite little black dress.  The Halloween part comes in with hair, makeup, and accessories.  Even if it's just going out to dinner you will still fit in at the restaurant of your choice with this type of costume.  I suggest shopping at Marshalls or TJ Maxx for Betsey Johnson "Halloween" jewelry if you are looking for an inexpensive but fabulous accessory option.  Of course you can buy them full price at Macy's.  Sally's has some great Halloween eyelashes if that is the option you choose and I found a big selection of Halloween pantyhose by Leg Avenue at Sears.com.  These options allow you to be sexy and classy at the same time.

Breast Cancer Awareness Styled Photo Shoot

We are so excited to share with you our Breast Cancer Awareness Styled Photo Shoot.  We have already featured my Aunt Brigette as a photographer along with an interview with her in the past.  Not only is she a photographer but she is also a breast cancer survivor.  So we asked Brigette (In Focus Photography) to participate as our model and photographer for this special styled session.  We lost a very special cousin, Susan, last year to breast cancer and also have many family members, including my very special Neesie and Aunt Ann who are breast cancer survivors.  That is what makes this photo shoot extra special, especially the fact that Brigette is a survivor and our family is so grateful to God that he has helped her to fight the cancer and......WIN!!!!!  We hope that these pictures are a reminder to you of the beauty in a woman's strength.  Please remember to donate to the cause, us girls have to stick together and fight for "our girls"!  If you would like to donate through Brigette's team to Hope Walks Atlanta just visit www.hopewalksatlanta.com and make a donation through paypal.  This team is part of the Susan G. Komen 3-day.  Please show Brigette and all the other women in our lives your support by donating what you can no matter how small.  I would love to help Brigette meet her goal of $5,000.

For the second half of the session we decided to spice things up a bit and added pink to Brigette's hair and enhanced the pink pigment on her eyes and lips.  I used Kevin Murphy's pink color bug on her hair, which washes out, and pink real hair extensions that I bought at Sephora for 1/2 off (yay!).

I absolutely love this picture and think that Brigette is absolutely gorgeous.  We had so much fun at this session and were so glad to get to do this with Brigette!!!!

False Lashes That Last Up To 6 Weeks

Last week we posted about strip lashes and how to apply them.  Strip lashes are great if you are looking for something extra for just a day because they come off once you wash your face.  While you can reapply them with more glue, they will not stay on for longer than a day by themselves.  A great alternative if you want something to last longer is the Ardell Duralash Starter Kit.  These are individual lashes that have a special glue that lasts longer.  You can buy the kit that comes with tweezers (for application), glue, remover, and individual lashes or you can buy the individual lashes and glue separately.  If you buy the glue separately you can choose the Ardell Lashtite glue in dark if you prefer to use it instead of the clear.  Sometimes the clear glue can look a little messy if you aren't used to applying these, while the dark blends in with the lashes if you aren't a professional.  I think it would be a great idea to do these semi-permanent lashes for your wedding day.  That way you wake up every morning of your honeymoon with long beautiful lashes.  Just be sure to practice using these before the big day.  You can't just dismiss them after the first try because things like this take practice.  If this isn't something you feel comfortable trying your hand at you can have it professionally done. If you are in the Atlanta area you can contact us and have Nisha apply your semi-permanant lashes.  Keep in mind that these are not eyelash extensions, just regular false individual lashes with a semi-permanant glue.  I should also mention that you will want to carefully wash around the eyes so that you don't agitate the false lashes too much to ensure their duration.

Unusual Beauty Has A Purpose

I was talking to my twin sister, Alisha, about myself and how that sometimes I question certain aspects about myself.  I loved what she had to say to me and I feel like it is something we should always remember.  She said that God built us exactly as we are supposed to be because we all have different purposes.  Then she asked me if I had ever seen a stick bug.  I searched my memory, at the same time thinking what does this have to do with a stick bug?  Finally, I said, "yes, I'm pretty sure I know what you are talking about".  She went on to say that God built that stick bug to look exactly like a stick on purpose.   She talked about the extent of the detail in the bug and how it couldn't be more exact.  The point was that sometimes we may wonder why we can't be more like everybody else, but that is simply because we don't all have the same purpose here.  There is only one you and you must embrace who you are and be the best you that you can be.  I think this applies to inner and outer beauty.  Once, my sister also used an analogy to the Disney Cars movie.  She said that you build a tow truck for towing, you build a race car for speed, you build a van to carry a lot of people, and God builds people with the exact thing in mind.  Think about it, a race car could tow something but it wouldn't be near as effective and efficient as the tow truck would.  The van could race other race cars but it wouldn't be very good at it and would certainly never win.  This is why it is so important that we use the talents that God gave us  to fulfill our purpose in life.  This would result in a happier, more effective and efficient YOU.  So as a beauty blogger I am challenging everyone, as their beauty tip for the day,  to embrace the beauty that God instilled in you and wear it proudly knowing that you have a special purpose meant for you and only you.  Oh and here is a pic of that stick bug, just see how amazing it is!
What does a stick bug have to do with beauty. God given beauty

How to Get Smooth Silky Waves Like Sophia Bush

How to get smooth silky waves like Sophia Bush
To get smooth silky waves like the ones seen on Sophia Bush just follow the steps below.

What you will need:
1. 1-1/2" Curling Iron
2. Paddle Brush
3. Aerosol Shine Spray

Get This Look:
1.  Section hair off and start with the bottom layer and wrap hair around curling iron horizontally all the way to the root.  Be sure to hold iron in the horizontal position and leave hair on the iron until the outermost hair feels hot.
2.  After you curl each piece grab the end and pull on the section while it is still hot.  This will give it more of a wave instead of a curl.
3.  After you have done the final layer let hair set for a few minutes allowing it to cool.
4.  Now brush through hair with your paddle brush (preferably an anti-static one).
5.  If your hair needs more shine just lightly spray it with an aerosol shine spray.

Feel free to leave any comments below if you have any questions.

American Gypsy: Make Gypsy Style Work For You

With the new shows American Gypsies and My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding, Gypsy style is becoming more popular than ever. Here are some tips and great online gypsy style shops to help you get the look down. First, I have to start with a headpiece because hair is just my thing. This headpiece is sold at www.shophardcouture.com and was worn by Vanessa Hudgens. Here are two ways to wear this piece.
gypsy headpiece from Shop Hard Couture worn by Vanessa Hudgens
Don't worry if you don't have the money to spend on a headpiece just get creative and use a necklace that is adjustable and it will work just as well. I would suggest using a curling wand like the T3, which is the one I use, to get the waves in your hair like what is usually worn with headpieces in this position. Also, if you want just pull a chunk of hair from right behind the front of your hairline and braid it, wrap it around your forehead and hide it on the opposite side of your head and pin it with bobby pins.

Now here are some clothing styles from this awesome online gypsy shop at www.spelldesigns.com
2012 Gypsy styled clothing from Spell Designs
You can click on the link above to link over to the site and buy any of these styles or just use the pics as inspiration to put together your own gypsy look.

Another great online shop is www.gypsy05.com, as you will see when you visit the site a lot of stars get their gypsy styled clothing at Gypsy 05.Gypsy styled clothing from Gypsy 05 worn by starsAlso trending are gypsy accents for weddings. Here is a pic from one of our featured gypsy styled wedding photo shoots

Back to School Fashion 2012: Barbie Styled Photo Shoot Sneak Peak

With back to school just right around the corner or just behind the corner for my county, I had to give you a little sneak peak of eye candy for what all girls school age or not have loved for years and years.....and that is BARBIE.  Barbie is a staple for school age girls (and not so school aged girls like myself).  My eye is drawn to barbie.  I love the pink that is associated with Barbie and also the fashion. Barbie absolutely never gets it wrong!  We did a Barbie styled photo shoot hair and makeup by yours truly, A Glamour Affair.  Also by A Glamour Affair was the set design and styling.  My husband and I actually built a wall for this photo shoot.  But hey, you can't cut corners when it comes to barbie, right? The photographer for this shoot was the amazing Brigette Carruth of In Focus Photography who is so much fun to work with.  She is an Atlanta based photographer who definitely lightens the mood and makes sure everyone is having a good time.  We did a short little interview with Brigette beneath the picture below for our sneak peak.  Remember, this is just a sneak peak we can't wait for you to see the rest!  It's just we could hardly wait to give you a glimpse of what is to come!!!  We will also follow with some tutorials on how to get these looks later.  Until then............
Back to school fashion Barbie styled photo shoot

AGA (A Glamour Affair):  What are you most passionate about capturing in a photograph?

Brigette:  I think my answer is more on the technical side instead of the creative side.  I want to be sure that I capture the right lighting.  Lighting will make or break your image.  You can have a great pose, great smile, even a great style or background, but if the lighting is flat or not properly exposed it ruins what I am trying to capture.  For me , a great image is all about capturing the right lighting at that exact moment when my subject has the perfect look.

AGA:  What sets you apart from other photographers?

Brigette:  First of all I want my business to bring glory to God in all that I say and do.  After that I want my sessions to be fun.  Most people dread having pictures made.  My sessions are not like a trip to the dentist or doctor.  I want my clients to have fun while we are shooting.  That's when I capture great images instead of good images.  I want my clients to leave saying, that was actually fun.  I know I have done my job right when they email, call or text thanking me for the good experience.

How to Get Beautifully Shaped Eyebrows: Example of Megan Fox

One of my favorite cousins, Kathy, asked me to do a post about how to get beautifully shaped eyebrows.  Who better of an example than Megan Fox....right?  First I want to start off with thickness.  Thicker is IN right now so if your eyebrows are a little too thin you should start off by letting them grow in one row at a time.  By row I mean just let a line at a time of eyebrow hairs grow in beneath the ones you already have so you don't look like a wooly booger in the process.  You would still pluck or wax beneath this line until each line fills in.  Now let's get down to the shape and follow the #'s on Megan's face.
1.  Line a pencil up with the side of the point of your nose to know where your eyebrow should start.  Just hold it straight up and down.
2.  Now line your pencil up with the side of the point of your nose and the pupil of your eye so you know where your arch should be.
3.  Then line the pencil up with the side of the point of your nose and the outside corner of your eye to know where your eyebrow should end.

Finally, if you don't like the bushy look just brush your eyebrows closest to your nose up and trim the excess that with a small pair of little scissors and then you have perfect eyebrows like Megan's.  Good luck!!
XOXO,

Hair and Makeup for Actor's Head Shots: Featuring Actress Victoria Galen

In this post we are going to share with you the process, "behind the scenes", of actor's head shots.  I have a friend from nursing school who is an actress and a photographer strictly for actor's.  This girl does it all!!! Can you imagine....a nurse, an actress, and a photographer.  However, she has been so busy with her photography business that she is not really focusing on getting a job as a nurse right now.  I have heard that agencies recommend her to actors, so click on the link and check her out if this is something you are interested in.  Her name is Anna of Anna Ritch Photography.  Although, as an actress she is known as Anna Enger (her maiden name) you may have seen Anna in shows like Vampire Diaries, Necessary Roughness, or Drop Dead Diva to name a few.  She is one of the coolest people I know.  She saw mine and Nisha's pictures on Facebook and gave me a call and asked us about, mostly makeup, for the actors that she photographs {See the rest of the story beneath the pics}
Actress Victoria Galen head shots The Great Divide Movie photographer Anna Enger

Actress Victoria Galen head shots The Great Divide Movie photographer Anna Enger or Anna Ritch

Normally, head shot sessions do not include hair styling but do include 3 different makeup looks.  Apparently this is what agencies are looking for.  They want to know that an actor can pull off different looks.  For Victoria, the actress featured in this post, it was important that she could have a sort of "homeless" look, a professional look, a sexy look, and an everyday somewhat "motherly" look.  You will notice that very light makeup is used.  This is so that agencies can see what is beneath all the makeup yet still see a hint of what they have to build on.  So the overall idea is makeup that doesn't look like you are wearing makeup.  For this particular shoot I did do some different hair styles.  However, this is not the norm.  Usually actors arrive with their hair fixed by themselves and Anna may or may not arrange it a little differently.  Although it is an option to have someone there for hair if the actor so desires.  Now Nisha has worked with Anna numerous times since this shoot and has loved every minute of it.  She even got to take 1 actress shopping to advise her on which makeup products to buy.  This is the only shoot that I participated in and I loved getting to see Anna again and also meeting Victoria Galen.  The 4 of us had so much fun!!!  We would do makeup and hair at Anna's studio in her beautiful home, then we would all get in the car and drive to a nearby location to shoot that particular look, and then go back to the house and build on the previous look then get in the car and.....well, you can figure it out.  Victoria was sooo amazing and I have officially added her to the "one of the coolest people I know" list also.  My list continues to grow as I can continue to meet such intriguing people.  But she's just one of those who is just so much fun to be around.  You can check out Victoria's profile on IMDB and see the movies she has been in.  Her latest movie The Great Divide is supposed to be released September 25 of this year.  She was telling us all about it and it sounds absolutely hilarious. You can check out her interview with Times Free Press about her leading role in The Great Divide.  We can't wait to see it !!!!!  She has also been a radio broadcaster.  If you heard her talk you would guess it right away.  She has one of those great voices.  We are so grateful to Victoria for letting us feature her and share her photos on our blog.  Hope you enjoyed this experience as much as we did!!!

Not Your Average Self Tanner. Get the skinny on St.Tropez!

I have touched a little bit on this self tanner before, but I feel it necessary to continue talking about my obsession with this product. I have always HATED self tanner.  It is streaky, stinky, and usually makes my skin look orange.  I just hate it.  I have tried everything from drug store tanning solutions, to mystic tanning boothe's in my search to get a healthy tan.  I can honestly say I hate them all.  That is until I was introduced to the most wonderful self tanner ever!  St. Tropez line of self tanning products are AMAZING!!  My favorite product that I highly recommend is the St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse.  This also happens to be St. Tropez best seller.  Why do I love it?? The St Tropez Bronzing Mousse gives my face the most beautiful, non streaky glow.  This Mousse is to be used daily for a natural even tan.   Eventually, it builds and builds to give you the most beautiful color on your face.  It can be used on your entire body, but I only use it on my face and neck.  Your face and neck are typically always going to be a little lighter than the rest of your body.  This product will even out your tan. Another super duper plus is that it does NOT stink.  I hate the smell of self tanner, but this product is non stinky.  The Mousse is also so light weight and easy to put on, unlike yucky lotions that streak. St Tropez also has a mitt to go along with the tanner to avoid tanning your hands, however, I use my hands and wash immediately after application. This daily tanner does not give you any streaks, it is just simply beautiful!!  Since this is St. Tropez best seller, I have had a horrible time trying to purchase it at department stores. I cannot tell you how many times I have been to Sephora and was told they cannot keep it in stock.  If you are lucky, you can find this product at the Sephora stores, but I feel for time sake it might be easier just to order it at Sephoras online store.
It costs about $40.00 for 8 oz.  I am also linking the St Tropez website as well.  The Website will show you all of their fabulous tanning products, news, and how to videos on how to apply their products.  Again, I cannot recommend this tanner enough. It is my # 1 fave product this summer.  I even went to a photo shoot the other day, and the model said "Wow, your makeup is so pretty and glowing". I laughed when she said this and informed her that I did not have any foundation on.  I informed her that all I had on was my St Tropez Bronzing Mousse and a little bit of Bronzer on my cheeks.  We laughed and laughed at the fact that here she was getting makeup applied by a makeup artist with no makeup on!  We had a good laugh about it.   She later informed me that she purchased it and LOVES it as well!  Hope you will too.  Happy self tanning!

Hands Down Best Tinted Moisturizer For Summer.

Summer is here, and it is time to pack away your heavy foundations. The hot humid summer months requires most of us to wear less makeup, or else risk the chance of it melting under the hot summer sun!  Us Georgia girls know all to well what happens when a full face of makeup meets the hot humid Georgia summer sun.  Not a pretty site!  Have no fear, tinted moisturizers are a perfect product for summer.  So when it feels like 100 degrees outside and you don't want to wear regular foundation, then a sheer natural tinted moisturizer is the way to go for every day wear.  My personal absolute favorite tinted moisturizer is hands down Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20-Oil Free.   This product is one of the best known in the industry.  After you try it, you will know why.  It is available in a number of different shades, so it will be easy to pick out the right shade for you.  It is VERY light weight, and the coverage is just perfect.  It is very long lasting as well.  It contains SPF 20 for anti aging prevention  This product runs about
$ 42.00 a tube, but it will last a LONG time.  You can find Laura Mercier products at Sephora. I have tried almost every tinted moisturizer that I can get my hot little hands on, and in my personal opinion, the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20-Oil Free is the BEST tinted moisturizer out there.

XOXO,

How to Apply Self Tanner or Fake Tanner and Not Look "Dirty" or "Fake"

With Memorial Day Weekend fastly approaching I thought I would give some tips on applying self tanner.  Well that and my cousin asked me to do a post about applying self tanner.  The self tanner that I prefer is by Clinique.  I use the medium-deep, but they also have a light-medium.  It has a really good color to it.  It doesn't have that "orangey" look that some tanners have.  Often you can come off looking "dirty", but follow these steps and you can look gorgeously tan and no one will ever know it's fake.
  • Shower, Shave and Exfoliate.  You can either use an exfoliating scrub, which I definitely recommend for your face, or for the rest of your body you can use one of those shower puffs and just scrub really hard.   You can buy these at Wal-Mart or Target.  If you want a really good quality one you can buy it at Bath and Body Works.  I love mine from Bath and Body Works, they are just a little tougher and fuller than the ones from Wal-Mart or Target.  Aren't these Bath and Body Works "gauze sponges" sooo cute?!?!

  • Make sure you are completely dried off and not sweating.
  • Now what I do is take regular lotion and put it on my wrists and the area leading up to my palms and back of my hands. Now put it on your elbows, knees, ankles, heels, and edges of the feet (not completely rubbed in so it will mix with the self tanner and the self tanner won't collect on these rougher parts of your body)
  • You are ready to apply the self tanner now (FINALLY!!!)  I always apply in sections and wash my hands between each section.
  • First, I start with my face.  You don't have to do this, but I have found great success applying tanner to my face this way.  I mix the Clinique self tanner (a squirt a bit smaller than a marble) with 2-3 pumps of Clinique face moisturizer.  I just mix it in the palm of my hand with my finger.  Then make sure to use plenty so you don't miss any spots.  Make sure to get behind your ears up to your hair line and the back of your neck.  Just blend right below your jaw line.  Now wash your hands.
  • Second, I apply to my neck and chest.  Start at the jaw line and blend and work down to the collar bone.  Get some more tanner in the palm of your hand and blend from the collar bone down, making sure to blend into the armpit front and back.  Then apply to your stomach and blend to the sides of the back and try to reach in order get the entire lower back (below the bra line).  Also make sure to get the top of the shoulders and top of the back as much as possible.  Now wash your hands.....again!
  • Now it's time to get tan arms.  This will require more tanner than the previous body parts, so go ahead and squirt plenty into the palm of your hand.  I start with the portion of my arms above the elbow, blending into the shoulders where I just applied tanner in the previous step.  Remember it is key to alway use plenty so you are less likely to miss a spot.  Now you are ready to apply to the elbows and forearm.  Remember you should have regular lotion already heavily applied to your elbows and wrists.  So you should be sure to use a blending motion in these areas.  Now blend down to backs of the hands.  I always avoid my fingers and just blend a small area at the base of my fingers.  Now that you have applied tanner to the back of the hands make sure that when you wash your hands this time, to hold elbows higher than the hands.  I hold my hands in a way that I am not wetting the back of them but just scrubbing the inside of my hands and rinsing downwards so the water runs down off my fingertips (never wetting the back of my hands).  Then I pat dry my hands.
  • Finally, we're almost finished, let's tan our legs.  Go ahead and get plenty of tanner in the palm of your hand.  I start with my calves, so if I have any excess I will have plenty of room on my thighs to use the rest.  Start below the knee and blend down into the area you applied lotion to the heel and edges of the feet.  Now move to the knee and use a blending motion in order to blend the tanner with the previously applied lotion.  Now just blend up the rest of the thigh.  Finally, just wash your hands again, inside only,  using the same method above that we used after applying to our arms and back of hands.
  • If you need your back tanned also, the best thing to do is to get someone to apply it for you.  If not there is a great little tool that you can buy.  Just click on the image here for details.
  • It is good to wait 15 minutes before putting your clothes on.   If you must cover up, a loose fitting robe would be your best option.  Now just make sure not to get wet or sweat for at least 3 hours, and do not bathe for at least 8 hours.
Enjoy your beautifully applied "clean" looking tan!!!!!

Get the "No Makeup Look"" this Memorial Day Weekend.

Who says you can't wear makeup to the pool?!! Certain makeup brands contain SPF and sun reflecting pigments that can actually protect your skin from the sun if applied properly.  The key is to apply it so that it looks fresh and dewy.  My #1 rule is NO Powder.  Anywhere. The goal is to look like you do not have on makeup.  You can wear a tinted moisturizer like my FAVE Laura Mercier SPF 20, OR you can do what I like to do.  Take your favorite SPF foundation, mix it with a little water OR moisturizer, and apply to your face. The mixture should be very light and give you a no makeup type look if done correctly. Then take the same brand of foundation in a couple shades darker to contour your face with.  The darker foundation gives a beautiful bronzed contour. Make sure to use a dewy finish foundation.  I LOVE NARS Sheerglow , but it is a little pricey.  A great drug store alternative is Neutrogena Healthy skin. It works almost exactly the same as the NARS, but at a MUCH cheaper price. It may not be quite as dewy as the Sheerglow, but it works very well.  I highly recommend it.

You can use a cream blush if you like, however I LOVE Benefits Posietint.  It is a see through tint that gives a nice glow to the cheeks and lips.  Perfect for HOT weather. It is melt proof since it is a stain.

Add some waterproof mascara & some nude lip gloss, and you are good to go! Don't forget to mist your face with a setting spray, and it should last the whole day.  Have a safe and happy Memorial Day!
