Bridal Hair and Makeup Trial for Nikole Kennedy
We always suggest to our brides to have their hair and makeup trial on the day of their bridal portraits. These bridal portraits are of our new friend Nikole Kennedy. She was kind enough to share them with us. We were happy to hear that Pam Jones of Paris Mountain Photography was going to be Nikole's photographer. It is always great to work with Pam. Pam shot these photographs at Berry College in Rome, GA and I think you will agree that they turned out absolutely gorgeous!!! For Nikole's hair she brought human hair clip-in extensions for me to add length to her hair. It is best to get the straight extensions if you want to have options with wearing them either curly or straight. I added them in alternating between rows of extensions and rows of real hair. She wanted a more neutral look with her makeup so Nisha went with heavier makeup on the eye and a more neutral lip. We thought Nikole looked AMAZING!

Behind the Scenes of Allie Hutson's Wedding
We met Allie when we did her little sister Taylor's hair and makeup for her 8th grade formal. She and her best friend Kiana were so adorable. So Allie came along to see if she might want to have us do her hair and makeup for her and her bridal party for her wedding day. We set the date and arrived early on a Saturday morning at Allie's family friend's home. Timmy and his wife, who is a lovely decorator, were the owner's of the home where we provided services at. We could instantly tell that Timmy was some type of military guy. We actually sat out in the car for a few minutes drinking our coke and coffee because we arrived a few minutes early only to be waved in by Timmy from the window. He's like, "what are y'all doing just sitting in the car?" We suddenly felt the notion to stand at attention or something. We learned that Timmy is a marine and also is on the Cobb County Police Force. He quickly got the troops going, sleepy as they were at 6:30 a.m. He also helped us get set up for all the girls. It was sort of a funny mixture, this tough marine guy and all these girls getting their hair and makeup done. Don't let Timmy's description fool you though. He was quite the hostess, oops I mean host. Cooking breakfast, fixing drinks, making sure Allie had everything she needed (he is like Allie's uncle). It was very entertaining to see him do all of these things in the toughest way possible. But we have him figured out! That tough exterior has a big heart!! So here are some pictures and we will finish the story throughout the picture sets.........
Allie wanted all of her bridesmaids to have their hair styled to the side because of their one-shouldered dresses. Sara, who is on the far left of the middle picture was kind enough to use our camera and take all of these pictures for us. Sara also has a knack for hair and makeup and we hope that maybe she might work with us some in the future! Also in the middle picture to the far right is Gena Curl, who is going to be working with us in a future styled photo shoot. All of these girls were absolutely fabulous!!! They were all so sweet and so much fun to be around! We loved hearing their stories.....especially Gena's!! Timmy's weren't so bad either! Just make sure to mind the law if He is around.

So that's our behind the scenes for Allie's wedding. We had so much fun and once again thoroughly enjoyed meeting these new wonderful people!

Special Feature on Christy McIntosh's Wedding: Bigger is Better
We arrived at Proctor Farm in Rome, GA early on Saturday morning only to be the first ones there and wakening the owner, Michael Proctor, driving up on his ranger shirtless and sleepy-eyed to see who in the world was there so early. We introduced ourselves, A Glamour Affair, and quickly offered our services to this bed headed fellow. We instantly made friends with him, because he was just that kind of guy. He offered us coffee and showed us around like we had been family visiting after being gone for a while. This place was magnificent and the energy there was best explained as.......FUN!!!! We both instantly wanted to stay for the wedding just to have the experience there. Shortly after meeting our new best friend our "to be glamoured" girls arrived. Kelley the matron of honor and sister of the bride was first on the scene. We didn't even have to ask Kelley about what she wanted for hair we knew the answer was simple.......BIG! As long as we gave Kelley BIG hair she would be happy. Kelley is our stylist friend, we've talked about her before in some of our styled photo shoot features. Then her sister Christy A.K.A. "the bride" got out of the car. We really didn't even have to ask her about her hair either because we already knew the answer was.......BIGGER!! So bigger is better became the theme. Then out came the Maid of Honor, Blake Ellenburg, otherwise know as Blake M.C. Hammertime. Watch out cause this nurse practitioner's got some moves. Not only can she inspect booties but she can shake one too! These girls know how to have a good time!!! There were other girls in the wedding party and they were all so very sweet and fun to be around.
Sooooo the bigger is better war was on. Who would win the competition.....?!?!? We thought we had it narrowed down till the mother of all big hair required my hair services.....Cindy McIntosh, Christy and Kelley's mother. And she thought I didn't know how to do "BIG". Huh, I told her don't worry, I got this! I pulled out the "BIG Sexy", and my big hair powder and went to town. Nobody says A Glamour Affair can't do big! There is no LIMIT to our "BIG".
